Shared Education

St. Colmcille’s and Carniny Primary School have worked for a number of years on Shared Education projects.  The Board of Governors of both schools submitted an application to become part of the Northern Ireland DSC Signature Project: Shared Education.  We are delighted to have received funding from this Project to further develop our existing shared education programmes.

The focus of this particular project is to further develop the integration of iPad technology across the curriculum. This digital literacy project involves the children from both schools coming together to learn from each other and work collectively to produce electronic material as part of World Around Us topics.  Staff too have come together for CPD workshops to upskill themselves in the latest technology and plan to integrate this learning in their thematic plans.

We look forward to seeing the out-workings of the project and plan to share some of the digital literacy aspects on our website in the near future.
