This term Year 6 read the novel ‘The Butterfly Lion’ written by Michael Morpurgo. The pupils wrote heartfelt letters in the persona of Bertie, expressing his emotions as he prepared to go to war. They also translated the vivid African sunset and the Butterfly Lion into vibrant oil pastel artwork. Using the Comic Life app, the pupils skilfully crafted a newspaper report, detailing Bertie and Millie's return to England with the Butterfly Lion. They thoroughly enjoyed this novel and had lots of fun.
