Safer Internet Day 🎮🧑🏻💻🛜
We had a brilliant time celebrating Safer Internet Day, all centred around this year’s theme of ‘Smart tech, safe choices - Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI’.The whole school got stuck in and learned lots about using AI safely and sensibly.
Mr Duffin’s Year 7 class kicked things off with a fun and lively assembly all about AI — what it is, where we see it and how it can help us. They also reminded everyone that AI can sometimes get things wrong or even create pictures and videos that look real but aren’t! Their sang a catchy song called ‘Stay Smart, Stay Safe,’ made with the help of AI.
Across the school, pupils talked about digital footprints. They learned why it’s important to think before we post. They chatted about how our online choices can shape our reputation and why small, smart decisions today can make a big difference in the future.
It was a great day full of learning, creativity and brilliant discussions. Take a look at some of the activities they did as well as listening to the song.
