On Tuesday, 13th May 2025, representatives from St Colmcille’s Primary School attended an interactive workshop at Ballymena Library as part of the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People’s (NICCY) “For Every Child, Every Right” tour. The event, led by Commissioner Chris Quinn, aimed to educate young people about the various roles within NICCY and to promote children’s rights across Northern Ireland.
During the workshop, pupils from St Colmcille’s, Adam, Sean, Eithne, and Ella, actively participated by sharing their ideas and engaging in discussions about children’s rights. Their involvement provided valuable insights and contributed to the ongoing dialogue between young people and the Commissioner’s office.
This event was part of NICCY’s broader initiative to involve children and young people in conversations about their rights and to ensure their voices are heard in matters that affect them.
