We were delighted to welcome Liz the beekeeper into Year Three to talk to us about what it’s like to be a local beekeeper. We were able to see the beehive up close and sample some of the delicious honey made in Ballymena.
The children had lots of interesting questions that Liz was able to answer in detail.
We loved getting a chance to explore the various equipment a beekeeper needs to produce the best honey.
This really brought our topic of ‘Minibeasts’ to life!
