We were delighted to welcome Ballymena United Strength and Conditioning Coach Glenn Wilkinson, along with players Success Edogun and Dylan McGeouch to St Colmcille’s this week.
They led a fun and lively session in the hall, putting our Year 7s through their paces with plenty of energy and smiles. Afterwards, the lads chatted to the children about their journeys in football, the hard work involved and how they stay motivated. The pupils were amazed to learn that Dylan once played in a match against Cristiano Ronaldo — definitely a moment that grabbed everyone’s attention!
The children asked loads of great questions, and the visitors took time to sign t‑shirts, books and even water bottles.
A huge thank you to Glenn, Success, Dylan and everyone at Ballymena United. We wish them all the best for the rest of the season — they’ve definitely gained some new supporters!
